Shaun and Lindsay were married on a beautiful summer day. The sun was definitely out in full force that day with a bit of a storm at the end of the evening to keep things exciting. The reception was held in the backyard of the bride’s parents’ home, and it must be said that it was as elegant a setting as any hotel I’ve been in for such occasions. This was fitting too, as the supper was extremely enjoyable.

A few weeks back we had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Heather and Devon. As usual for this spring, the weather was somewhat less then perfect but we were able to sneak outside for a few quick shots which was nice. It was a busy afternoon with formals taken at three different locations but it went pretty smoothly. Special thanks to Pastor Dennis for his patience and all the folks at Crave for letting us run all over their restaurant and lounge.

Visited Kayla and Jesse today to show off some of their wedding photos. Kayla had this gorgeous blue dress so we decided to take a few shots. I hate to admit it but white walls do have several advantages.

This past Friday provided an opportunity to meet up with Kirsten and Matthew for a morning photoshoot. We took advantage of the great weather and went to several outdoor locations. Engagement shoots are great for getting to know the couple and how they interact with each other and the cameras. This always makes for a more relaxed atmosphere during the big day.

Winter is obviously a cold and harsh time of year but like most things, it is what you make it. Outdoor photography is not always easy to do during this time but the abundance of light can make the effort well worthwhile.

The end of the year means it is time for last minute Christmas shopping, and almost as stressful, putting together a calendar for the next year. Here are a few images from the RIA Photo 2010 version.

We recently received some wedding albums created by a new supplier we’ve not used before. We are pretty impressed and are excited to be able to offer them to our 2010 clients. Below are a few sample shots of the 11″ x 15″ albums we received.

RIA had the good fortune of meeting Kendal and Kris in January. Their wedding was held in one of the most beautiful churches in the province, the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Lebret.  It was a gorgeous day that was made even better by their choice of unique locations for photos of their wedding party, who, by the way, were a ton of fun. Any day you spend a lot of time laughing is a great one.

Rob and Karlie had a gorgeous sunny day for their wedding. A day to remember for many reasons, not the least of which was a plummeting elevator that had the bridal party more than a little nervous. We wish you both the very best and hope you are enjoying your new home!

Courtenay and Kyle decided on an outdoor wedding which was especially exciting given the ominous grey clouds overhead. Fortunately the rain held off until the ceremony was complete and the sun came out again later in the afternoon. We are grateful we were able to spend so much time with Courtenay on her wedding day and get so many fun shots of her and Kyle. Best wishes to both of you and also to your daughter.
